Pachyderm Pincushion

Just catching up, and I realized that I never posted this little guy.

Elephant Pincushion

What a cutie! He’s a pincushion, half filled with crushed walnut shells – apparently optimum pincushion stuffing that won’t dull needles – and finished off in the legs and trunk with polyfill.

If you’d like to make a pachyderm pincushion of your very own, I used Heather Bailey’s Effie and Ollie pattern. You only need a small amount of fabric, so this is a great stashbusting project.

As a side note, my unending gratitude goes to Centsational Girl’s post on why she uses Windows Live Writer to create entries for her blog. This is my first post after finally getting around to downloading the free software, and I love it!
